LEXAN IS NOT AN ACRYLIC. POLYCARBONATE is different from acrylic; polycarbonate is unbreakable, if hit it will dent but it will not break. This quality makes it a bit softer and less rigid than acrylic. It is more expensive than acrylic. It is not UV stable. In sunlight it has life of 5 to 10 years. A UV treated version is available by special order. It is lighter than glass, but will scratch more easily than glass.
We stock clear in thickness .030″, .060″, 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 9mm and12mm.
Thinner sheets by special order. Thicker sheets are considered bullet proof they are available by special order however the price jump considerably.
Black, Sign white, bronze tint and grey tint are usually stocked in 3mm and 6mm
Sheets are typically stocked only in 4×8′ but oversize can be special ordered.
