Plat 40 is a platinum based 1:1 mix ratio (by weight or volume) silicone mold making rubber that when cured yields a flexible, medium hardness 40A rubber. Plat 40 is complies to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and can be used for a multitude of culinary food applications utilizing one and two piece molds. -
Alumilite Synthetic Clay is used for creating one time original patterns, sealing mold boxes, and for claying up two part molds. It will never dry out and can be reused over and over again. It does not contain sulfur and will not inhibit platinum based silicone rubbers. -
When added to silicone rubbers, Thixotropic Additive increases the viscosity, which allows you to make brush-on or blanket molds, build layers of silicone, or even brush onto vertical surfaces.
