This 24K tow is formed from approximately 24,000 bundled carbon fibre filaments so its super strong! Ideal for many applications that require strengthening. Used extensively by hobbyist and in several commercial industries including surfboard construction, bike and paddle reinforcement, RC model plane and boats. -

It is used when a very stiff product with high tensile and compressive strength (both greater than steel) is required. It has weak shear strength and is not impact resistant. It is best used, when making parts that need to be light weight but are under high stress. It is more expensive than cloth, but replaces several layers of cloth in terms of strength. When well done, the finished product makes a beautiful looking part such as a car hood. Use only with epoxy resins. This item is sold by the linear yard.
