VACUUM BAGGING is not yet available online. Please call, email, or visit use in store for more information
Vacuum bagging uses the atmosphere’s air pressure to push out excess resin form a part. It eliminates air pockets, helps to shape a part and smooth out the resin.
The part is covered first by peel-ply, then by a breather cloth, the part is then inserted into a bag which is sealed and the air is pumped out via a vacuum. As the vacuum is created the epoxy placed on the part is squeezed around the part. Any excess epoxy rise up through the peel ply into the breather cloth, which absorbs it or allows it to run out the vacuum. When the epoxy is cured the vacuum is removed, the part taken out and the peel ply removed. A part with even spread of epoxy to all areas remains.
